Dr. Yoo graduated from Columbia University in 1993 and obtained his DDS from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1999. After completing a General Practice Residency at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut in 2000, he interned in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York for one year. He then entered the Woodhull Medical Center Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program which he completed June of 2005. During his residency he was trained in ambulatory anesthesia and in a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures including dental implants, wisdom teeth extractions, trauma and corrective jaw surgery.
Dr. Yoo worked as an associate with the Affiliates in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Rhode Island for one year after residency. He then worked with the Western Reserve Center for Orofacial and Cosmetic Surgery in the greater Cleveland area in Ohio for two years before deciding to come back closer to family in Bergen County, New Jersey. Dr. Yoo currently resides in Fort Lee with his wife and two children.
Dr. Yoo has also gone overseas on multiple occasions to serve the underprivileged. He's been to Ecuador and Mexico on mission trips where he provided care to many people who otherwise would not have access to care. His interest in cleft lip and palate has also led him to travel to countries abroad such as Ethiopia to perform reparative surgeries on underprivileged children.
Dr. Yoo is committed to keeping up with the latest techniques in oral and maxillofacial surgery and attends continuing education courses regularly.
